Fw: Busy as a Bumble Bee buzzzzz :)

HI Family,

I wrote this to Jasmine, but mom thought that the rest of the family would like to hear it too.

"So two Sundays ago i was sitting in class thinking about how I havent given a talk in a while. Then I was like 'Wouldnt it be funny if I had to give one now since I thought that?' Right after class our 1st counselor came in and asked to talk to me. I walked over and he said 'Dont hate me but could you give a talk in two weeks on the 23rd?' Haha I could never hate Brother Scanlan cause hes awesome. But i guess i jinxed myself or maybe it was the spirit giving me a heads up. I had to give it on my favorite Article of Faith. I chose the 13th. My heart was pounding, but once i got up there I wasnt nervous at all. I got them to laugh by tell them the story I just told you about Brother Scanlan It went really well."

SO today was a very busy sunday, I had to give a talk in Sacrament, Kevin had to give a talk in Primary, Papa had to teach two lessons, his Sunday School class (14-15 year olds, that will be my class next year!) And he had to teacher Elders Quorum today too. And mom did a bunch of stuff because she is the YW second councilor. Then I had to go to BYD (Bishops Youth Discussion). And now I am home.

I haven't written during the summer, so I thougth I would send some ballet recital pictures. (my outfit was peach and blue) We did "Sleeping Beauty" this year. Also mom was my Level 3 leader this year at YW girls camp and I am sending a few pictures of camp. She had us do fun things like make bracelets, play 'balloon badmitton' and make YUMMY 'pizza hut' like pizza using dutch ovens! (added a picture of the pizzas. She also made a fun scavenger hunt for a hike, and we took digital pictures of the things we had to find. Things like a tree with a face, wild animals, mushrooms, and flowers. Mom was happy the Stake T-shirts for camp this year were purple.!

I had a fun Fourth too. We made home made ice cream by rolling a storage can back and forth. We made root beer floats with the vanilla ice cream it was yummy. We always have root beer floats for the Fourth.

Hope everyone had a fun summer!! It's almost fall. Thank you Dad and Marci for the good food we had there (Can I have the recipe for the smoothies and the grape jello we had at Rachels baptism?) and for the fun we had making the animal flutes, we have them in our living room as decorations. Kenny loves the turtle Kenson made.

Well I am off to bed for now because I have to get up at 5:30am in the morning for Color Guard Band Camp.

Love,
Karissa

PS Mom says I should type up my talk and send it so I will try and do that in the next email

I had to give a talk in sacrament meeting too on the 23rd. Mine was about 20 minutes. I also had to teach the elders quorum. Good job Karissa I am sure your talk was great. Yes Brother Scanlon is cool. I love Samoan people.

Brian
